Most children approach their parents and show them their latest accomplishments to receive praise. I was always in the position of awkwardness. My parents struggled between praise and counseling. Then their was the familiar phrase: why don't you write anything happy? My parents either expected a cutesy child who would grow into a dancer, cheerleader, or pageant queen. Or maybe a tom girl who actually went outside more, was active, and enjoyed fishing? A child who was a bit more normal than a morbid aspiring author/poet or photographer. That's me though! The writer who takes pictures of BJDs, her best friend, and random sceneries. Thank you, thank you.
